East Coast Shipping Lines Limited (ECSLL)

East Coast Shipping Lines Limited (ECSLL) was established in 1982 as the shipping arm of East Coast Group. It is one of the most professional shipping agents in Bangladesh having well-equipped offices in both port cities with modern communication networks run by professionals. The company extends logistic support to ECG by chartering, brokerage, crewing management, and agency services to the trading activities of other sister companies.

Since its beginning, ECSLL has successfully handled more than 2000 ships which include oil tankers, bulk and liquid cargoes, general import cargoes, heavy lift cargoes, and dangerous and hazardous cargo carriers in both the seaports of Bangladesh.

ECSLL has so far handled the largest amount of different export and import cargoes. Specialized cargoes handled by the company include but are not limited to petroleum products, pig iron, urea, rock phosphate, rock sulphur, coal, cement, bitumen, wooden poles, wooden sleepers, construction equipment, and power station installation equipment. The total tonnage has exceeded 35 million tons.

Omera Queen

‘MT OMERA QUEEN’ is the group-owned Aframax tanker (106,547 DWT), which is the biggest of its kind in Bangladesh. The tanker is registered under Bangladesh Flag. Besides transportation of crude and petroleum products for various oil majors, it also carries crude oil for Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation from Arabian Gulf to Chittagong.

The barge is rated CAP rating 1 for hull, machinery, and cargo equipment. As a result of maintaining high standards, she achieved ‘NIL DEFICIENCY’ during a port state control inspection by the UAE authority recently.

Omera Legacy

ECG has taken over its second Aframax tanker ‘MT Omera Legacy’ on 28th December 2017 in Singapore. This new addition to the group’s fleet has a dead weight tonnage of 107,091 metric tonnes and was built in Korea in 2005.

East Coast Bulk Carrier Limited

EC Bulk Carriers Limited (ECBCL) owned and managed ‘MV OMERA I’, a general bulk carrier with 42,000 DWT which it has recently divested. ECBCL does the commercial and technical management of all group-owned and third-party ocean-going vessels. ECBCL established a global network with various charterers to fix and run vessels efficiently. It also provides various shore-based support at different ports.

ASP Omera Crew Management Limited (AOCM)

ASP Omera Crew Management Limited (AOCM) started its operation in November 2011 with a vision to provide high-quality skilled seafarers through rigorous selection and training procedures. Therefore, it produces a large pool of qualified officers and crew with hands-on experience on all classes of vessels including bulk carriers, container vessels, passenger ferries, crude, product, gas, and chemical tankers.

It is a JV between ECG and global ship crew management operator ASP (Australia) which is also a member of the International Maritime Employer’s Council (IMEC).
